Last week has gone pretty good for me at Homeland Security, considering that I completed my biggest project before the deadline. My supervisor has informed her boss about my project completion. They were very impressed, considering that everybody in the office works very slow and it is a rare that a project meets its deadline. Other than that, I wish I can say more about my other tasks and projects, but I can't.
Last Tuesday, I went to a Meet & Greet with the new President & CEO of AAPD, Mark Perriello. It was very nice of him to meet with everybody, including the interns along with many other people. He gave a pretty good speech and I think he will do a great job in the new position. It was also great to hear that him and AAPD is very involved in with the Congress about the debt ceiling and to prevent the Congress from cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
