Week seven was a very fun week. First, I was invited to watch a double-header Nationals game in the Verizon Box. This experience was great. The seats were right behind home plate and there was awesome food. The other benefit of sitting in the box level seats was that we had indoor vendors and nice comfortable plush seating. After watching a game from a luxury box, I don’t think watching a baseball game will ever be the same. Although the Nationals did not win both games, it was still a good time. I am going the Nationals game tomorrow against the Rockies, although they are not box seats, I am sure it will still be a fun time.
Secondly, I went to the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl with fellow AAPD interns. The food was great. I definitely want to take my family to Ben’s when they come next week. While I was eating there, they played a video that gave a history of the establishment along with all the famous people that have eaten at Ben’s. One of Ben’s biggest fans is Bill Crosby. He not only is featured in the video, his picture is all over. In 2009, President Obama ate at Ben’s when he was the President Elect. I am happy that I have had the Ben’s Chili Bowl experience and can not wait to go there again.
