2011 National Council on Indepedent Living Conference

This week was marked by a very big event in Washington DC. That event is the annual National Council on Independent Living conference which took place at Grand Hyatt in downtown DC gathering almost 700 participants.
NCIL has been for the United States International council on Disability, an opportunity to educate people about the CRPD. In the same event it was for USICD an opportunity to meet very important persons of Disability Rights Movement, the persons who will help to advocate for the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disability.
Thursday the 14th of July the event moved from Grand Hyatt hotel to the Capitol Hill where participants had to march and meet with various Senators and Representatives all this for the promotion of CRPD ratification by the US. My job was to arm the NCIL conference participants with everything they needed to know about the CRPD.

The conference took place from Wednesday the 13th of July to end Saturday the 16th of July.
