This week has been an awesome one. My family spent the weekend with me last week and we had a nice time together. We visited the spy museum which turned out to be very fascinating. In addition to a great weekend, I also had a great week at work, with A.D.D. I continued with my research on discrimination against people with disabilities in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). My goal was to identify resources and opportunities for TANF to collaborate with other state and local agencies, which would allow them to better serve their clients with disabilities. I was primarily focused on researching the possibility of establishing a TANF-VR partnership to help TANF clients with disabilities obtain competitive employment. Then I reported my findings to a co-worker and we compiled a report for my supervisor summarizing our findings. This marked the successful completion of my first assignment on this internship. I am looking forward to beginning my next assignment, which I will share in future posts.
