A Short Week

Independence Day is coming up so this week was short. A threw things did happen in this spread of time. On Monday IDAC held a steering committee meeting. Right after that was the last of the social networking brown bag lunches. It was on advanced facebook features namely events, groups, causes and integration with twitter.

I am looking forward to seeing want our new database system will look like and how it will behave. I will be interesting to see how it will different from the MS Access and Cardscan programs. The data I have entered into those programs is but a fraction of the contacts that will ultimately be entered into the new database. I can only image how this system will manage thousands of different contacts and how this information will be put to use. It will be a learning experience for us all when we are trained to us the new system when it is installed.

I hope that you enjoy Independence Day in Washington DC. For any of you that attend the fireworks display it should be a great show.

Have a great 4th of July.
