First Week in DC

Hey everyone, this is Ron Nunes. I'm originally from Staten Island, New York, and I go to college in Myrtle Beach, SC at a Horry Georgetown Technical College. Once I get my Associates degree next spring, i'll be starting the online program they offer with Western Kentucky University to attain a Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences. As this is my first blog post, I figured that I would fill you in a bit on what happened my first week in DC.

First, arriving here was hectic. Parking was crazy for my dad, who drove me up, and he ended up with a parking ticket, which was not fun. Otherwise the first day was pretty good. The intern orientation was interesting and fun to attend, and the mixer on the second day was very enjoyable. I met some wonderful people and made some great connections. I look forward to meeting more people in the future.

This weekend me and a friend are heading to Six Flags America, and to the Smithsonian.

It's getting late, I should get to bed as tomorrow is Six Flags day!

Later,
Ron
